So where have we been? Well...... here is a recap of our month of May- We've been to Louisville and back, and had lots and lots of fun. We've been to my niece's medical school graduation, her wedding, visited the racetracks, (Keeneland and Church Hill Downs) the Louisville Slugger museum, checked out the Ohio River and everything in between!! We've had so much fun and literally "ran" it seems like for most of the month. Here are some pictures from our trip

| We got to do a session at the Louisville Temple to start off the trip |

Reunion!!
Actually, we were getting ready to head for Lexington:) |
We went to WinStar Farms and got to see last years Kentucky Derby Winner- Super Saver
He is as gorgeous as he looks and for a small stud fee of $20,000 you can have your own chance at a Derby winner:) |
| WinStar Farms |
| Clayton didn't waste any time getting acquainted with Nichole... |
| The horse in the background has sired numerous winning foals- His stud fee? A cool $100,000.00. At one point his stud fee was $275,000.00, it has changed due to the economy.... !?!? |
The boys with Nichole
Duncan was so excited to see Nichole. When we all met in the parking lot that morning, he saw her and took off, dodging all the cousins and adults to get to her and give her a big hug. It was precious... |
| This is the stud barn... It was just a pretty picture- |

The boys at Keeneland-
Sidenote: Keeneland is where they filmed the movie Secretariat and several other horse movies |
| Of course we have to go to Louisville to see a combine with dual wheels... |
| Pool time!! |
| The pool at the hotel was lots of fun and warm!!! |
| Dr. Howarth |
| The cute couple... |
| The Howarth clan |
| So proud of her... |
| Duncan thinks it is soooo cool that Ashley is a doctor- |
| So do we.... |
This is the group of family that attended graduation which is pretty impressive since
none of us live in Kentucky or even close!
We are ALL so very proud of Ashley and her accomplishment! |
Now on to wedding!!!!
This was the pool house where the reception was held |
| Everyone patiently waiting for the bride... |

| So... After the wedding on Saturday, we got up Sunday morning and headed for Church Hill Downs for breakfast at the racetrack! |
| Behind the scenes, we got to see the barns, the jockeys and conveniently, D.Wayne Lucas, one of the biggest names in race horse training was on the track with his horses. |
| Everyone at the track, cold and a little wet, but well worth it!! |
| Breakfast.... |
| After we had breakfast, we stopped by the football stadium |
| The "Cardinal walk" into the stadium |
| Then onto the front side of the track to go to the Derby museum |
| The track |
| The little boys |
| This is what they call the "backstretch" of the track for the Kentucky Derby. Having been able to see the Derby in person I'm not sure how to explain just how intense and suspenseful this stretch of dirt is. The Derby was run one week before we were there so the excitement was still there. It is a neat sight to see. |

| Duncan dressed up in the jockey silks |
| The statue of the horse behind us is Barbaro... he was a derby winner and was in the news a lot after he broke his leg in the Preakness. Amazing horse... |
| Slugger Museum/Factory!!!! |
| Duncan is holding "big Poppi's" bat- Literally- You could pick what player's bat you wanted to swing/hold but you had to put on gloves to hold it so that it didn't get dirty. Kind of cool- very big bat... |
| The Babe... |
| Duncan in the batting cages. They have cages in the museum so all the kids, even some of us big kids, took a turn. Lots of fun! |
| He thought it was fun and... he hit pretty darn good too! |
| The kids in "the mitt" |

| Our picture from above... |
| We went down by the Ohio River to take a look, it is high... |

| Then to finish off the trip, we opened presents with Ashley and Sam! This is the quilt that the Phillips family gave them. Shurron did most of the work, it was beautiful... |
And then there is Myrna... Myrna is one of my sister's best friends from Salt Lake.
She is quite the lady, my boys warmed right up to her... |
And then we headed home...
This is at the airport in Dallas, one more flight and we were home!! |
| Who's child is this?? |
We had a WONDERFUL time. We are so proud of Ashley and are so happy for her and Sam as they start their new life together. It was so great to see everyone and make lots of fun memories to cherish. You can never replace family or the times you get to spend together....
