October was busy as usual with lots of fun activities. We had the Pumpkin Patch, parties, family fun and topped off the month with a trip to Texas! Enjoy the pics

| Halloweentown is a favorite activity of the month |
This is our Sam- one of the boys favorites. She is one of my softball girls.
She was in a car accident this fall and broke her neck. We went up to the UofU to see her before we left for Texas.
The boys were so excited to see her. Long story short, she is a pretty amazing young lady. |

For the last two years we have had a Phillips family party in the fall. We eat dinner at Grandpa and Grandma's house and then go on a hay ride down to the pumpkins and let the kids play on what ever attraction we have for the year.
Funny thing about this picture, about 30 seconds after we took it, the table bent in half and we all ended up in a pile... Oh what fun memories this Phillips clan makes! |

There is a story to this picture
When the grandkids were younger ( 30 years ago) it was a big deal to be able to swing on Grandma's clothes line. These three gave it a try, they haven't done it in years! |
And so... the great grandkids wanted to try it too, the others were about this
size when they used to try to hang on the clothes line! |
| Our trick or treaters! |
We headed for Texas to see Ashley and Sam over our Fall Break. We had a wonderful trip and got to stop and see so many fun and neat things. Grandma and Grandpa Phillips went with us to see them too and we drove across Colorado, Kansas, down to Oklahoma and then made it to our destination of Temple, TX. On the way home we came back through New Mexico and then back up into Colorado before we hit the Utah line. It was a long trip but so worth it and we are game to go again.
| This is in Durango, Colorado at the train museum there |
| All the boys (including the big ones) enjoyed the train stations |
| The Doctor is in!! This was the welcome Ashley got when she got home from her night of call. The boys were so excited to see her and she was so cute with them. They loved seeing her, Sam, and of course "the boys" ( the dogs) |
| In Oklahoma- we stayed the night just outside of Oklahoma City and swam the next morning. We have two little fish! |
This was at the National Cowboy and Western life museum in Oklahoma City.
It was massive! The museum was amazing as well. |
We stopped in Dodge City, Kansas where the biggest feedlot in the world is at.
We had to have a steak while we were in town too:) |

| For those of you that know me well, you know how much I enjoy softball! Every year around the end of May I am glued to the tv watching the College World Series. I had only seen this beautiful complex on tv, now I have seen it in person I can say that it is just as pretty in real life! |
My dad and I walked into the stadium and I must admit I got chills, literally. It might sound silly but to those who play and love the game, they will understand what I mean by that statement. The other cool part, sharing this place with my dad, who taught me how to play the game, coached me as a kid and never missed a game. It was simply AWESOME!
We went in the museum as well and it was so fun to look at the memorabilia and all the fun stuff.
Needless to say, I will be back to this place to sit and enjoy the
games of the college world series, one of these years in late May:) |
| On to the train station in Temple, TX |
| Our man at the counter- where would you like a ticket to? |
| They had all sorts of cool stuff in here. The boys were trying out some Morse Code with Grandma and Grandpa |

And here is the crew. Dr. Howarth and Dr. Swainhart.
The boys love them both and are ready to go back to visit! |
| The proud Grandparents |
And so you can't go on vacation and not have a pet!
Grandpa and Richard found a lizard in the garage and so of course the boys
wanted to keep him. He was a great pet while we were there:) |
| BBQ anyone? |
| We had so much fun just relaxing and visiting |
| The crew |

On our way out and headed for home...
Needless to say, the boys loved the train museums and all the attractions. What a trip!!
Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa for going with us, the boys loved having them
with us and wanted to sleep in their room every night if we'd let them!
Fun times and wonderful memories! |
And to end the month, our annual Pumpkin Party.
This year the boys smashed the pumpkins. They ALL had a fun time. |
